OUR DAD RECEIVES GOVERNOR GENERAL'S AWARD IN VISUAL AND MEDIA ARTS

Kispiox, BC

It is with immense pride and honour that we are able to announce today that our Dad has been awarded the Governor General's Awards in Visual and Media Arts

This award is in recognition for Dad's contribution and life long dedication to Gitxsan Art and Culture. As a result he has placed Kispiox and Hazelton on the world map of art.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Governor
General's home in Ottawa on March the 17th, 2003.

Dad, Mom and Rod are in Vancouver today, March the 4th for the media announcement, being held at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Later tonight APTN is scheduled to cover the story as well.
