NWTT & NCMA COMMIT TO COMMUNICATIONS PROTOCOL

The Northwest Tribal Treaty Nations and the North Central Municipal Association signed a communications protocol in Prince George that will ensure each association is aware of the work of the other, and to identify issues of mutual concern.

The Executives agreed to share information and begin working together towards formalizing the relationship. Areas of common interest to both organizations include: economic development, health care, education, infrastructure, and transportation.

Feb 11, 1991 signatories to the founding NWTT at Prince Rupert, BC are the Tsimshian Nation, Haisla Nation, Haida Nation, Wet'suwet'en Nation, Nisga'a Nation, Gitksan Nation, Lake Babine Band, Gitanyow Nation, Carrier Sekani Nations. Listed but not signed are Tahltan Nation, Taku River, Tlingit, Kaska Dene Nation. For more info on the Northwest Tribal Treaty, see http://www.nwttgroup.com/.
