Gitxsan Chiefs donate funds to minor hockey

Gitxsan Chiefs fund youth hockey players in Hazelton

Over 30 first year hockey players got a chance to play Canada's national sport this winter thanks to a donation from the Gitxsan Chiefs Office. The office covered registration fees for four, five, and six year old players for the 2010-2011 Hazelton Minor Hockey season. The result was a huge increase in registrations in the Initiation age group.

Jim Angus from the Chiefs Office was on hand Monday, January 10^th to hand the cheque over to Ray Sturney, coach of the Initiation team.
